Hometown: San Francisco, CA
Major: Administration of Justice
CCSF Hobbies and activities:
Ambassador Club, Theatre Arts 101
Why did you attend CCSF?
After becoming pregnant I had stopped attending school for about a semester. Juggling all of my new responsibilities and school was difficult for me which resulted to my grades dropping. CCSF is my chance to start over and is just the first stop on my journey of higher education.
What is your favorite class and why?
I found that any class that I take with a good teacher I enjoy because I understand the material. Two of my favorites were Psychology 26 with Mr. Villalta and Math 860 with Ms. Moody.
Highlights of your CCSF Experience?
CCSF has been a place of discovery. I have become more aware of who I am as a person and what career I would like to go into.
Plans for the future:
I plan on transferring to San Francisco State to receive a Bachelors in Criminal Justice so that I can become a juvenile probation officer.
I like being an Ambassador because:
I enjoy being an Ambassador because I get to meet a lot of new people and help new students who are not familiar with the campus and resources that are available to them. Also I enjoy my coworkers and the overall atmosphere of the job.
I recommend CCSF to future students because:
I would recommend CCSF because it is way more affordable than going directly to a four year institution right out of high school. It helps prepare you for the transition and can also be a second chance for people who may have taken some time off or didn’t do as well as they would have liked to while in high school.
