Join the helpful, friendly staff from our Financial Aid Office who will work with you personally to help you complete your FAFSA or Dream Act applications if you haven't applied, or help you complete any financial aid requirements if you have already applied.

  • What to Bring to Your Appointment

    Documents You Will Need to Fill Out FAFSA:

    1. Your/Parents 2018 Tax Return if applying for the 2020-2021 term

    and/or 2017 Tax Return if applying for the 2019-2020 term

    2. Your social security number 

    3. Bring parent's 2017 or 2018 Tax Return, Social Security numbers and dates of birth unless:

    • You were born before January 1, 1996

    • You are married

    • You have a child who receives more than half of his/her support from you

    • You are a veteran of the U.S. armed forces

    4. Your parents’ 2017 tax return unless:

    • You married on or before December 31st of the calendar year prior to the beginning of the academic year

    • OR you have reached the age of 22 on or before June 30th prior to the academic year

    • OR you are enlisted in full time active military service, was honorably discharged from such service, and has not and will not be claimed as a dependent by either parent

    5. The total amount of untaxed income received during 2017.
    *If you, your spouse or your parents (if applicable) received any untaxed income during 2017, such as public assistance, social security benefits, or child support, you must report it on the financial aid application.

     

    Documents You Will Need to Fill Out CADAA:

    1. Your 2017 Federal Tax Return
    2. Your social security number (or write 000-00-0000 if you do not have a social security number)
    3. Your ITIN
    4. Your Green Card  (or a photo of your Green Card): Alien Number is required to fill in (if you are an immigrant)

    5. Your parents’ 2017 federal tax return, social security numbers (or ITIN if filing CADAA), and dates of birth unless:

    • You were born before January 1, 1996

    • You are married

    • You have a child who receives more than half of his/her support from you

    • You are a veteran of the U.S. armed forces

    6. Your parents’ 2017 tax return unless:

    • You married on or before December 31st of the calendar year prior to the beginning of the academic year

    • OR you have reached the age of 22 on or before June 30th prior to the academic year

    • OR you are enlisted in full time active military service, was honorably discharged from such service, and has not and will not be claimed as a dependent by either parent

    *For filing CADAA: Ensure you meet “Non-Resident Exemption” requirements under Form AB 540. and/or TPS status.
    *T-Visa holders should file FAFSA, whereas U-Visa holders should file CADAA.

     

    Lab Policy

    We encourage parents, stepparents, and/or adoptive parents of dependent students to accompany the student. Parents’ information is required in the application. At least one parent has to sign the FAFSA.

    *Please bring all of the required documentation to your appointment. 

    *No food or drink is allowed in the lab.
