Federal Work Study

Federal Work Study (FWS) is a federal need-based student employment program funded by the Department of Education. The FAFSA determines a student’s financial need, and therefore, a student's eligibility.

Federal Work Study Eligibility Criteria

A student must meet the following criteria to be eligible for Federal Work Study:

 

  • Complete a FAFSA
  • Meet financial need as determined by FAFSA
  • Be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units, half-time, per semester
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress 
  • Have a Federal Work Study Eligibility Notification Letter on your Web4

 

 

Federal Work Study Available Jobs

The Federal Work Study Program allows students to earn a paycheck by working a part-time job either on or off-campus. Students can view eligible jobs online or can go in-person to the Office of Student Employment located in MUB 260.
