Talk to the CTO

What's on your mind?

The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and the Technology Division (TD) provides technology services to help City College of San Francisco faculty, students and staff use technologies for learning, teaching, research, and administrative settings. The primary role of the Office of the CTO is to serve as a catalyst in working with the campus community to leverage technology to advance and support the mission and goals of the College.

As much as we’d like to be able to grant every technology wish or suggestion, it’s just not possible. Sometimes it’s a matter of money; sometimes it’s a matter of conflicting goals with other departments, BOT mandates, etc. Sometimes it’s a matter of cost efficiency, and as much as a particular technology may really help one group, the cost to create, implement, and or maintain a given technology may be too expensive to realize in this given budget. Lastly, often it’s a matter of compliance – there are some great ideas that as a public organization (and/or as an educational organization), we’re just not allowed to do. That doesn’t mean we don’t want your ideas, complaints, suggestions and kudos as many of our best ideas, programs and service have come from feedback from you! So we’ve created a few ways to gather your feedback:
