Institution Set Standards & Stretch Goals
Each community college accredited by ACCJC submits an Annual Report
that includes selected trend data and associated institution-set
standards. The standards set a minimum "floor," accompanied
by aspirational "stretch goals." At CCSF these college-wide
standards have been collaboratively developed by the Planning
Committee, then discussed and recommended by Academic Senate.

Vision for Success
The California Community College Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) released the Vision for Success goals with the aim to strengthen the California Community Colleges to meet California's needs.
CCSF Vision goals were recommended by the Academic Senate in May 2019, and will be brought to the Board of Trustees (BOT) for approval and submission in June 2019. The Vision goals contain student outcomes in five key areas - completion, transfer, unit accumulation, workforce and equity - shown in brief below. Outcomes and Assessment
City College strives to create a culture where outcomes assessment continually improves the quality of student learning and institutional effectiveness. Members of each department and program engage each other in the development and assessment of outcomes. Dialogue within and amongst departments and programs moves the college forward to meet the evolving needs of our students through instruction, curricula, programs, and services.
Educational Master Plan (EMP)
CCSF's Education Master Plan (EMP) serves as the College's long-range strategic blue print that guides institutional and program development. This plan is currently being updated per 2018-19 Board Goal #1: "To complete an updated seven‐year EMP that prioritizes enrollment growth and development of in‐demand programs for degree/transfer and workforce certificates.”
CCSF's comprehensive Program Review process is designed to assess the effectiveness and future needs and directions of all departments and programs. Comprehensive Program Reviews are submitted once every 3 years (Fall 2015, Fall 2018). Annual Plans are submitted during intervening years (Fall 2016, Fall 2017, Fall 2019, Fall 2020).
