SLO Assessment

SLO Assessment Process

The PHOTOGRAPHY department's Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) assessment process is documented and described below. For more details, please contact the department chair, and view the rest of our department website.

Department SLO Assessment Process
The Photography Department Faculty has agreed on a system to continually assess and improve our teaching outcomes. Through the process of engage-revise-assess, our department has developed a flexible form that allows each Instructor to use various class projects and exercises to assess their Student Learning Outcomes. The data is collected each flex day before the new semester, reviewed and discussed as it relates to curriculum development and program review. The data and projects are shared amongst faculty who also may compare and contrast teaching rubrics, paradigms and methodologies.

Current highlights are documented each semester in our Assessment Progress Reports and each year in our Program Review.
