We hope to return with a new and improved program during the

2016-2017 Academic Year.

Housing While Studying Abroad

ACCOMMODATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION

Student Housing

Students will be provided with double or triple rooms in student residences or single rooms in homestays for the duration of the program. Student residences have phones, kitchenettes and bathrooms. Homestays are located throughout Paris, within the city limits. Students housed with families will receive breakfast daily as part of their homestay. Housing is limited and is assigned on a first come, first served basis.

Student Services

The ACCENT Paris Center is located near the Bastille. The fully-staffed ACCENT Center serves as a home base to program participants, and is open during the week for students to use the resource and lending library, ask questions, collect their mail, receive and send email and take advantage of a variety of student services. ACCENT Centers are located in San Francisco, Paris, Florence and Rome, Madrid and London.

In addition to the cultural program, the ACCENT Center organizes a series of optional social activities that allow students to discover Paris and meet local residents. Activities often include free concerts, ice skating, dinners, tours of Parisian neighborhoods, visits to famous cemeteries and other activities that are "off the beaten path.

Transportation

All participants must arrive in Paris on September 1, 2014 between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. (NOTE: Most transatlantic flights depart one day before their arrival date). Students are responsible for arranging their own flights from the U.S. to Paris and back. Please contact ACCENT at 415/835-3744 or 800/869-9291 if you have questions.
