Semester in Paris

At present there are no semester programs being offered by CCSF. If you are interested in studying abroad during either the fall or spring semester, please email the Study Abroad Coordinator, Jill Heffron to be put on a mailing list for future programs or to set-up an advising session to learn about semester program options outside of CCSF for which you may qualify.

Spend a semester in Paris, a city renowned for its wealth of historical, artistic and cultural riches. Immerse yourself in a language and culture that span the Middle Ages through the 21st century in a city that draws students from all over the world. Paris is your classroom as you study French at the University of Paris - Sorbonne and study Art History and French Civilization while attending on-site lectures at the many galleries, museums and cultural sites throughout the city. The Semester in Paris program offers the unique opportunity to expand your educational experience while earning transferable college credit.

The ACCENT Paris Center is located in the historic Bastille district of central Paris, within easy metro/bus reach of the Latin Quarter and the City of Light's incomparable museums and monuments. The ACCENT Center is open during the week for students to use the resource/lending library, computer lab, wireless connection and study annex. The ACCENT staff provides a wide variety of on-site student services and is an invaluable resource for students.

Students on the Semester in Paris program live in shared student apartments throughout the city of Paris or in single rooms in a homestay with French families. The ACCENT Paris Center organizes a number of cultural and social activities for the program participants, as well as a day and a weekend excursion outside of Paris.

This program is offered during the fall semester only, and provides transferable credit from CCSF for courses completed overseas. City College of San Francisco, which is a regionally accredited two-year college, will provide a transcript upon request for the coursework completed overseas.

Students enrolled in an eligible program may be able to receive state and federal financial aid and scholarships to help defray the costs of study abroad.
