Ms. Joseph has been teaching at CCSF since 1995.Her educational philosophy is that all students deserve the best education attainable and that not all students learn the same way.She is a member of ADAA and ADA.

In her leisure time, Ms. Joseph enjoys scuba diving, photography, skiing and tennis.

Kay Murphy, CDA, RDH, MS, has over 31 years of experience as a clinical dental hygienist and 25 years as a dental assisting and dental hygiene educator. She earned her Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene and Bachelor’s degree in Health Education from Ferris State College, Michigan.   She then continued her studies to receive a Master’s of Science degree in Health Science from San Francisco State University. Currently, she is teaching dental radiology at City College of San Francisco and clinical dental hygiene at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California, while also practicing clinically as a dental hygienist in a private dental office in San Francisco.

 She is a member of the California Dental Assisting Teacher’s Association (CADAT) and California Dental Hygiene Educators’ Association (CDHEA) as well as the American Dental Education Association (ADEA).  Her professional mission is to educate students and fellow colleagues about the importance of participating and providing access to oral care for all ages, those 0 to 100 and beyond.

Tiffany Ren came to live in San Francisco when she moved from Shanghai China in the late eighties.  She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley in the mid-nineties. Shortly after, she attended CCSF's Dental Assisting Program and graduated at the top of her class and was given the "Most Scholarly Student" award.

Searching for more challenges in life, Ms. Ren received her California Teaching Credential from UC Berkeley Extension thereafter.  Ms. Ren worked with two general dentists for more than fourteen years, and was responsible for various tasks involving clinical, as well as the business aspects of dentistry.

Ms. Ren started her teaching career as an assistant instructor of Dental Assisting Program at CCSF in 2002.  In 2010, Ms. Ren became the Director of the Dental Assisting Program.
