Finance (Banking, Insurance, Investments)

What will I learn in this program?

The Finance program will provide the student with the fundamental knowledge and skills in finance to transfer to a four-year university with a major in finance. It also prepares the student to work in various entry-level positions in financial service companies such as banks, insurance companies or brokerage firms. The knowledge and skills gained from this program will provide the student with a solid foundation upon which to build future growth in the field, either academically and/or professionally.

Depending on the educational and employment background of the student and on his/her motivation, there is a wide variety of jobs available to graduates of the program. In financial services, higher paying positions generally require certification. Common job classifications include entry-level positions in financial institutions, either with direct customer contact or in various back offices. Many companies are looking for sales personnel selling financial services and products.
