What will I learn in this program?

The construction program is open to anyone seeking to gain or enhance their construction skills in a wide variety of fields.  Students gain wide ranging opportunities to practice theory in hands-on construction experience in each area of interest.  In addition to basic and advanced construction courses we have written solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, and home energy efficiency courses to address the need for green building.  Certificates are currently being offered in non-credit but we will shortly be up and running with credit available for most courses and a degree option pending.

There are construction opportunities available throughout the Bay Area and California as well as emerging new state and local projects.
