Using Prints to Make Artist Books
Instructor Bronwyn Dexter
This workshop explores book structures that can be used in conjunction with monotype and other printmaking techniques. Students will create a variety of dummy books in order to better understand book structures. Dummy books can be used as templates for planning future printmaking book projects.
Previously finished prints and proofs can be incorporated into covers for blank page journals or they can be folded to become their own monotype artist book. Emphasis is on utilizing previously finished prints, however techniques can be applied without any previous printmaking experience.
