Explore the properties of oil and acrylic paints and mediums while learning more about the human figure. This 6 hour intensive workshop with a nude model is suitable for those new to figure painting as well as experienced artists. Instructor will lead students with short lectures and demonstrations that include underpainting, glazing, impasto and scumbling painting techniques. There will be a model fee of between $20-30. The $5-10 materials fee is optional.

It's recommended that artists to bring whatever materials they have, and at least 2 painting surfaces (canvas, canvas board, Masonite) of different sizes (11""x14"", 18""x24"", etc) that, if needed, have already been primed for paint with gesso or even simple water-based house-paint.
