What will I learn in this program?

This program provides conceptual, aesthetic and practical skills training for the beginning to advanced photography student. Technical skills are fundamental to the program. The program provides a core curriculum of required courses that cover all key areas of commercial and creative photography. Elective courses offer the opportunity for specialized study and cover a range of traditional and emerging photographic approaches.

This program requires the student to enter with a camera that meets minimum industry standards. While the department is able to provide many cameras and other tools for instructional purposes in advanced courses, students may need to purchase additional hardware, software, and supplies depending upon the particular course of study they pursue.
