Return to Campus

Interim Chancellor Gonzales has formed a Return to Campus (R2C) Task Force consisting of constituent group leaders who are meeting regularly to explore what it means for students, faculty, staff and the community-at-large to return to campus safely, following all public health guidelines.

CCSF's Summer Session 2020 and Fall Semester 2020 will be held primarily online, with some exceptions. To that end, all College stakeholder groups on the R2C Task Force are continuing to closely monitor the data and guidance issued by elected leaders and public health officials to develop a phased Return to Campus Plan.

Phase I City College Return to Campus

The College will adhere to all County Health guidelines in planning for a return to campus for students and employees.  We will not require employees to return to campus unless we can do so in compliance with the recommended guidelines; e.g., ensure social distancing can occur, provide for PPEs for employees, disinfect common areas, etc.

Effective June 1, the College will begin a  gradual return to campus ONLY for employees whose jobs cannot be done remotely.  A gradual return to campus will start with training for all employees and identifying COVID19 “safety monitors” for each work area.

We will work with employees who are unable to return to campus due to their own health reasons or because they are caretakers for at-risk family members.

Many employees who are able to work remotely, will continue to work remotely until further notice.
