Notes:On April 29, 2014 members of the Student Service Assessment Team convened to discuss assessment practices for student services at the College and chart a path for validating Student Service Assessment Reports. The agenda was as follows:

·         Validation of assessment progress reports

·         Program Review discussion

·         ILO Critical Thinking Results

·         Possible Summer SLO Institute for Student Services

Members of the assessment team discussed the rubric used for validation and participated in a norming session with four different reports.

It was discussed that many in the student service community could benefit from Basic workshops on assessment and assessment reporting. Many were confused about who is responsible for reporting. Moreover, team members felt units would like to cull and refine student service outcomes and archive those that were redundant or could not be measured. A workshop in the summer was not possible but the SLO Coordinator is pursuing the scheduling of training sessions with counseling chairs and President Parras.
