Instructional Student Learning Outcomes come in many levels:
Institutional Learning Outcomes (ILOs) are the highest level. They provide the overall learning outcomes for students completing programs across the college.
General Education Outcomes (GELOs) provide overall learning outcomes for GE-classes and hence, collectively, for all students completing an AA or AS degree at CCSF, as well as those planning to transfer classes to CSUs or UCs.
Program-level student learning outcomes (PSLOs) provide overall learning outcomes for a particular major, certificate, or discipline.
Course-level student learning outcomes (SLOs) provide overall learning outcomes for a particular course. All sections of that course should cover the same SLOs.
