Distance Learning

Representatives from Academic Affairs, Student Services and ITS collaborate on best ways to serve distance learning students. Distance Learning Advisory Committee (DLAC) establishes the criteria and procedures involved in the selection of courses for distancelearning and recommends distance learning courses for development.

DLAC reviews applications from online course developers and recommends reassignment units needed for that development.

Additionally the committee recommends policies related to distance learning instruction and issues and seeks and disseminates information regarding distance teaching and learning.

DLAC interprets changes in state and federal regulations that impact distance education and recommends policies and procedures resulting from these changes.

Committee Membership: 9 members: 6 faculty, 1 administrator, 1 classified staff member, 1 student.
