On December 12, Chancellor Arthur Tyler, announced the beginnings of a comprehensive education master planning process for City College of San Francisco. 
“At this time, it is important to establish a unified direction for the College, and a comprehensive education master plan is critical,” said Dr. Tyler.

The education master planning process will be data-informed and will include input from internal and external audiences. Meetings to guide this process began in late November and will conclude with a comprehensive plan on May 1, 2014. The College has created a webpage ( to share data throughout the process and to announce scheduled events. The College has contracted with Voorhees Group LLC, a national consulting firm with experience in helping other California community colleges to facilitate this process.

A combination of small group strategy sessions and larger public forums to be convened at each of the College’s centers throughout San Francisco are planned for the weeks of January 27, February 17, and March 10. For details see

CCSF is also asking citizens in the San Francisco and the Bay Area as well as CCSF students and employees to respond to a brief online survey to provide input in the education master planning process. The survey can be found at this location  Survey results will be posted on the College’s website.
