Pronunciation skills are practiced and expanded for better oral communication. Review of formation and production of English sounds. Rhythm, stress, and intonation in intermediate level conversations developed.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Recognize relationship between English sounds and their symbols.
- Outcome 2: Demonstrate syllabication, stress, and pitch in multi-syllabic words.
- Outcome 3: Employ rhythm, stress, intonation patterns, and reduced forms in sentences and conversations.
- Outcome 4: Identify and correct his/her own pronunciation errors.
