In this intermediate fiction workshop, students expand their skills writing, reading, and critiquing short stories, as well as share their writing with peers in a workshop setting.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Evaluate choices writers make regarding elements of craft in fiction.
- Outcome 2: Compose works of original literary expression employing, at an intermediate level, elements of craft.
- Outcome 3: Appraise works-in-progress, sharing substantive critiques with members of a writing workshop in appropriate, constructive ways
- Outcome 4: Revise works of literary expression based on instructor feedback and the workshop process.
