This course is designed as a touring dance company. Students will learn dance works from faculty and guest choreographers. Touring venues include CCSF, San Francisco high schools, San Francisco Bay Area colleges, local theatres, and dance public events. This course includes workshops on performance technique and lectures on choreographic theory.
Offered Spring semesters
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Demonstrate skills required to work with choreographer toward performance.
- Outcome 2: Analyze and apply the choreographic tools used by choreographers to create a dance.
- Outcome 3: Demonstrate the skills necessary to ""assimilate the choreography"" for the expressed purpose of touring.
- Outcome 4: Evaluate personal and group performance of repertory.
