Provides students with the opportunity to earn course and certificate credit for working in the field, in a supervised setting in the ICT/Computer Science industry. Internships include software quality assurance (QA), junior developer, database programmer or administrator, Linux system administrator, etc.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Employ professional work habits and behavior in an industry environment.
- Outcome 2: Identify and apply best practices in business communication.
- Outcome 3: Participate effectively in the team-oriented work environments typically found in the computer industry.
- Outcome 4: Assess on-site experiences, and based on that assessment create a plan for further career development.
