An advanced course in the use of MySQL techniques to process database objects. Design and develop MySQL program units: stored procedures, functions, and database triggers. Work with dynamic SQL and with XML data.

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Develop and test MySQL routines including functions, procedures, and triggers using procedural code
- Outcome 2: Develop and test MySQL routines that use programming techniques with database tables, including cursors, error handling, transaction management, and dynamic SQL
- Outcome 3: Design, develop, and test queries and routines that use XML and XPath expressions in MySQL
