CS 150P SQL Server Programming Using T-SQL (4)

An advanced course in the use of Microsoft SQL Server techniques. Design and develop SQL Server program units using the T-SQL language: stored procedures, user-defined functions, and database triggers. Work with dynamic SQL and with XML data.

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Develop and test T-SQL routines including functions, procedures, and triggers using procedural code
- Outcome 2: Develop and test T-SQL routines that use programming techniques with database tables, including cursors, error handling using Try blocks, transaction management, and dynamic SQL
- Outcome 3: Develop and test queries and routines that use XML data as a native type in SQL Server, including converting between XML format of data and relational format of data
