A beginning course in residential wiring. This hands-on course teaches the student the skills, methods and materials necessary to assist a licensed electrician in installing a residential electrical system.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Identify and summarize the basic materials, tools, and concepts of electrical applications.
- Outcome 2: Choose the appropriate methods, materials, and tools for a given task, and complete electrical lab projects in a safe and timely manner.
- Outcome 3: Identify and cite codes and safety practices as they apply to electrical work.
- Outcome 4: Perform electrical and material quantity calculations required of electrical workers.
