CNST 1017 Adv. Project Furniture Making
This individualized project-based course is designed for advanced-level students in furniture making, incorporating the furtherance of those skills, (project planning, design, hand and machine tools, materials knowledge) acquired in the basic CNST 1016
Offered on occasion
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Understand the health and safety hazards unique to the wood shop environment and formulate strategies to minimize them and prevent accidents.
- Outcome 2: Use furniture design components, project planning, materials knowledge, fabrication processes, and finishing work to successfully construct a personalized culminating furniture project.
- Outcome 3: Manage the operation of woodworking machinery to include shop placement, maintenance and repair.
- Outcome 4: Demonstrate competency in power tool joinery.
