CNIT 105L Computer Technical Support Lab (1)

Hardware diagnosis and troubleshooting, software maintenance, upgrading, and problem solving; work with Help Desk software to log calls, and real end-user problems in a simulated Service Center. Designed to provide hands-on practice with hardware and software, techniques and procedures, covered in CNIT 105
. Teamwork will be emphasized.
Hands-on fixing students computers.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Provide good customer service and communicate clearly.
- Outcome 2: Produce clear, well-written reports documenting the steps and resolution of the problem.
- Outcome 3: Use basic and advanced troubleshooting tools to analyze problems and to implement solutions to system faults.
- Outcome 4: Work safely and cooperatively in a group.
