A project-oriented hands-on introduction to hardware identification, maintenance, upgrade, diagnosis, and troubleshooting. Designed to provide practice with concepts, techniques and procedures covered in CNIT 103
. Teamwork will be emphasized.
Hands-on exercises that prepare for A+ certificate exams.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Differentiate and describe the major computer hardware components, their functions, and their characteristics.
- Outcome 2: Install, configure, and maintain the major hardware components.
- Outcome 3: Analyze problems and resolve system faults using basic troubleshooting tools.
- Outcome 4: Work safely and cooperatively in a group made up of one's peers.
