CDEV 8206 Parenting in the Business Community
General principles of human development, birth through adolescence. Emphasis on issues for working parents, family dynamics, and community resources for child care. (Classes may be available at the college or in community or workplace settings).

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Describe typical ages and stages of development and behavior of children (infant - 18 years).
- Outcome 2: Discuss the value of setting limits, positive guidance, and good parent-child communication.
- Outcome 3: Identify the impact of work stress on the child and family and available resources.
- Outcome 4: Assess the developmental needs of one's child and identify the appropriate childcare environment.
