Early childhood teachers and paraprofessionals will explore the developmental strengths and needs or young children 0-5 with special needs and inclusion strategies and techniques for partnering with families.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Define and recognize the range of special needs common to children in early childhood.
- Outcome 2: Understand the impact of early intervention and early intervention strategies.
- Outcome 3: Describe inclusion and develop an inclusive curriculum that includes strategies.
- Outcome 4: Identify community resources available for early childhood educators as well as children with special needs and their families.
