Courses in seminar format for practitioners, directors, site supervisors, leaders and staff in programs serving children and youth related to professional development, including topics such as: emerging trends in the field, quality improvement efforts, advocacy, staff supervision, legal and licensing issues, facilities and fund development and other topics as needed.

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Recommend and facilitate quality improvement measures for child care and development programs or K-12 classrooms .
- Outcome 2: Demonstrate enhanced leadership, communication, or advocacy skills.
- Outcome 3: Describe a current public policy issue related to the provision of quality services to children and their families.
- Outcome 4: Describe and define steps needed to implement strategies to improve teacher working conditions, retention, and quality practices
