Learn about Individualized Education Programs and Plans (IEPs) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) for children with special needs, including planning IEP/IFSP meetings, setting goals and objectives, writing the IEP plan, legal rights of children with disabilities, and collaborating with families and colleagues to develop and implement an Individualized Education Program or Individual Family Service Plan.

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Explain the development and implementation of Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs).
- Outcome 2: Describe strategies for partnering with parents and families in the development and implementation of IEPs and IFSPs.
- Outcome 3: Recognize community resources providing technical assistance for the development and implementation of IEPs and IFSPs.
- Outcome 4: Describe legal standards for IEPs and IFSPs as specified in the IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).
