After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Utilize primary and secondary sources as appropriate for support of an argument or interpretation.
- Outcome 2: Assess the historical roots of political, economic, and social structures in the United States.
- Outcome 3: Discuss and analyze major historic, literary, artistic, and social movements in the United States as well as works of literature and art and relate such works to the social forces that generated them.
- Outcome 4: Identify the more important literary and historical personalities, titles, works and movements and compare any similarities or differences.
