2. CCSF Small Business Entrepreneurship Workshop: “Leveraging Social Media to Market Your Ideas” - October 18

 

Date: Wednesday, October 18, 2017

Time: 5:30 – 7:00 pm

Location: Multi-Use Building Room 251, Ocean Campus

 

Description: A comprehensive marketing strategy leverages Social Media to make information more accessible and useful by combining technology, content and social interaction across many platforms including websites, blogs, video-sharing, review sites, email marketing and event promotion. Consumers expect organizations to use Social Media intelligently and for Social Media initiatives to align with other marketing strategies and core values. This session provides an overview of the 9 Key Areas of Social Media as defined by David Mitroff, Ph.D. with examples from his consulting on technology integrations, restaurant and retail marketing, customer loyalty programs, partnership development and charity work.

 

About the Speaker: David Mitroff, Ph.D. is the founder and chief business consultant for Piedmont Avenue Consulting, Inc. (www.PiedmontAve.com) where he and his team create brand awareness, strengthen customer loyalty and generate new business by leveraging new technologies. Through his consulting, lectures, training and keynotes David Mitroff, Ph.D. (www.DavidMitroff.com) has educated more than 25,000 business owners. 3. "Woven Art: Tapestry” Exhibition, Opening Reception – October 20

 

Woven Art: Tapestry is an exhibition of student-created tapestries. The students of Deborah Corsini's Fashion 6008 course have created vibrant works of art using tapestry weaving.

 

Come see pieces created over the past academic year, displayed in John Adams Center Library, room 204. 

 

Opening reception: Friday October 20, 2017 10:30am – 12:00pm.

 

Library hours: Monday through Thursday 9:00am – 6:45pm.

4. Cafeteria Closed for Lunch – October 23

 

The Cafeteria will be closed for lunch on Monday, October 23rd for new student chefs training.

 

 

5. Experimental Photography Exhibit, Reception – October 25

 

Hiromichi Matsudaira’s experimental photography exhibit will be on display in the CCSF Photography Department, Gallery Obscura V160, October 17th – November 4th, 2017.

 

Opening reception: Wednesday, October 25th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm
