4. Nadia Scholnick Memorial - October 8

With great sadness and grief, the ESL Department shares the news of the loss of our dear friend and colleague Nadia Scholnick. Nadia was our Noncredit Assessment Resource Instructor for many years and organized several large ESL testing programs. She also taught both noncredit and credit ESL, most recently ESL 79 Advanced Speaking and Pronunciation. She was very much loved by students and faculty alike.

Nadia passed early Friday morning as the sun rose red above the Bay. She was blessed with a wonderful circle of care-givers and many people who loved her.

Let's remember Nadia with a smile - for her boundless energy, her brilliant intelligence, her snazzy sense of graphic style, and most of all for her quick wit and ability to make us laugh even while administering massive numbers of tests.

Her memorial will be held:
Sunday October 8th
11am - 1pm
MUB 140
Ocean Campus
