1. Julia Bergman Celebration of Life - February 25

Julia Bergman, Dec. 8, 1945 - January 9, 2017.
 
A Julia Bergman Celebration (Eventbrite link)
This is a Celebration of a life well and generously lived.
She savored each day and gave all of herself to family, to friends, and to her beloved City College.
 
When: Saturday Feb. 25, 2017 from 1-4 pm
Where: City College Ocean Campus, Smith Hall Cafeteria.
 
Diego Rivera Mural tour will be given at noon.

2. Forum Submissions: Win $50! Submissions Due February 28

Win $50! Forum, CCSF's literary magazine since the 1930s, is offering a $50 prize for the best fiction submission and best visual art submission. We also accept all genres of writing and art. The flyer is attached. Feel free to tell your friends/post on social media/etc. Find us online at forumccsf.org. Deadline is this Tuesday, 2/28, at midnight!


3. Upcoming Women's History Month Events - March 1 and March 2

The upcoming week's Women's History Month 2017 events include 

1) A student-organized panel discussion of "Femininity and Queer Expressions of Masculinity in Higher Education," on March 1, from 3-5pm in Wellness 103

2) Healing Through Drumming, the first in this semester's series of events to "De-Stress by Healing from Historical & Individual Trauma," on March 2 from 4-7pm in MUB 50.  This event includes a healthy meal; pre-register to reserve your spot.


4. Volunteers Needed for the Innovations Conference

City College is the host school for the League for Innovation in the Community College Conference held at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis from March 12-15, 2017. We are asking for volunteers to help support the conference. If you volunteer for a 4-hour shift, you get free access to the entire four-day conference. Here's a link to sign up: Volunteer Shifts. We are provided with a conference room that will serve as a volunteer “hang-out”  as well as where there is complimentary coffee in the morning and snacks in the afternoon. Questions?
