Please review the attached invitation letter regarding the district's public safety assessment. Your participation is very important as we undertake this endeavor together. All constituents at all centers are highly encouraged to attend either Ocean Campus or one of the other noted locations for upcoming public safety forums.

2. A Talk with Economist Douglass Orr on Cuba - November 29


The Economics Political Science Club will be hosting a talk by Douglass Orr, Professor of Economics, on Tuesday, November 29th at 4:00 in Batmale  453. He recently returned from a visit to Cuba by a ethnically and age diverse group of economists. He will be talking on the process of economic reform that has been going on in Cuba and the process of political decision making in Cuba. Refreshments will be served after the talk. Everyone is welcome.

5. 6th Annual Festival of the Moving Image - December 6 

Please find attached our poster for the upcoming 6th Annual Festival of the Moving Image featuring juried work from the Cinema and BEMA Departments. We invite you to join us in celebrating work made in both departments at one of the oldest cinemas in San Francisco!

This year's festival is dedicated to the memory of Lise Swenson.

6. CCSF Art Department invites you to their 42nd Annual Fort Mason Holiday Exhibition and Sale December 2-4

Join us for the 42
nd Annual Fort Mason Holiday Exhibition and Art Sale! Held at City College of San Francisco’s Fort Mason Center, the event features work from CCSF’s Art Department, Older Adults Program and Continuing Education classes. 


Works in Ceramics, Drawing, Jewelry, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture will be available for sale and on exhibit. 


Preview reception on Friday, December 2 from 6:00pm-9:00pm. 
Exhibit continues Saturday and Sunday, December 3rd and 4th from 12:00pm-4:00pm 
CCSF@Fort Mason is located in Building B of the Fort Mason Center, 2 Marina Blvd, SF 94123

7. High Fashion at High Noon - December 1 and December 8


In the spirit of fashion and philanthropy, the Fashion Coordination class is proud to present two informal fashion shows entitled Rigid Romance and Street Royalty, featuring the hottest looks for fall. The fashion shows will benefit Dress for Success; a non-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and life.

Admission is free; however, attendees are encouraged to donate an accessory such as a scarf, handbag or jewelry. Please see the attached media advisory and flyers for additional information.
