4. CCSF Librarian wins place in American Library Association Leadership Institute

CCSF Librarian Anthony Costa has been selected for participation in the 2016 American Library Association (ALA) Leadership Institute, a four day immersive leadership development program that will be held August 8-12 at the Eaglewood Resort, Itasca, Illinois. Anthony was selected for the institute by ALA from a competitive pool of applicants. His participation will be supported by a Leadership Award from the California Council of Chief Librarians, which he won through a separate competitive process. Past participants in the ALA Leadership Institute have found it exceptionally valuable, describing their gains as "a wealth of information and resources " and "a stronger sense of purpose and renewed focus."
