2. Teacher Prep Workshops: The Teacher Prep Center Presents: "Pathways to K-12 Teaching Workshops"
Do you know students who are looking for a rewarding career? Do you know students who enjoy spending time with children and youth? Are they ready for fun, intellectual challenge, and a profession to grow into? Please tell them about these workshops, where they can find out how to become a K-12 teacher, and the support available along the way.  3. Themed Dinners in Pierre Coste Restaurant: Travel the world "gastronomically" while dining right here in the Pierre Coste Restaurant. 4. Teaching Men of Color: An upcoming webinar titled, "Supporting Men of Color in the Community Colleges: Teaching and Learning Strategies for Classroom Faculty,"  hosted by the Minority Male Community College Collaborative (M2C3), will be held this Friday September 12, 2014 from 10:00am to 11:00am Pacific Time.

5. Three Funerals and a Wedding (floral event): On Sunday, November 3rd, The Master Florists Association and Cypress Lawn Cemetery and Funeral Home invite you to attend a special luncheon event. 6. Second wave of the  Women's Movement: Mills College is hosting a lecture and conversation with Sonia Pressman Fuentes titled "The Beginning of the Second Wave of the Women's Movement and Where We Are Today. This will take place at Mills College on Wednesday, September 17th, but the RSVP deadline is tomorrow, September 10th. See the attached NOW co-Founder Sonia Pressman Fuentes.pdf for more details. 7. "This is the Girl" Dance Experience: This Friday and Saturday, September 12th and 13th, Dance Theater S.F. will be showcasing a new Full-Length work by Christy Funcsh's Funsch Dance Experience, with accompaniment by the Grrrl Brigade Taiko drummers, guitarist Dory Ellis, and a chorus covering songs by P.J. 8. National  Conference on the Rights of Linguistic Minorities: The 40th anniversary of U.S. Supreme Court Decision in Lau vs. Nichols will be the focus of a one-day conference being held a the Chinatown/North Beech center this Friday, September 12th. 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. There will be five major speakers and ALL the information you need to understand, plus the online registration process, is in the attached Lau vs. Nichols.pdf

9. Single Stop Has Moved!: We are now located in MUB101. Single Stop connects students to FREE services including: health insurance, food programs (CalFresh), child care and many more depending on potential eligibility.  We are another resource on campus to help students deal with tight budgets and tough financial situations.Students may drop by MUB 101 or make an appointment for a brief screening:

        -- Office hours: Monday through Thursday, 8am to 5pm. Friday by appointment.

        -- Call Allie Fasth, Single Stop Coordinator, at 415-239-3266 for an appointment.

10. Solutions That Work: Everyday approaches to increase equity. CCSF's First Annual Equity Institute will take place on Saturday, September 20th from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM in MUB 140. Keynote will be Darrick Smith, Ed.D., and there will be two main sessions and two tracks. 11. Get your Tango on! Saturday, September 27 - Fall Semester Argentine Tango Party & Intro Lesson. The Argentine Tango Program at City College of SF presents the Fall 2014 Milonga (Argentine tango social dance party), preceded by an Intro Lesson for absolute beginners. 7pm - Intro Lesson. 8-10:30pm Tango Party with a 'Fall Harvest' theme (The wearing of 'Fall leaf' colors is encouraged!)​ Admission:  $5 to benefit CCSF Dance.
