1. Graduation Parking: Important Parking Information--CCSF Parking Services is honored to support graduation 2014! In order to assist with the ceremony, parking lot uses will be adjusted on Friday (5/23/14).  Employee parking lot "C" (behind library) will be closed for normal parking operations and reserved for graduate staging and selected parking. Student parking lot "S" (behind stadium) will be closed for normal parking operations and used as additional employee parking for  work related parking and graduation attendance. Reservoir parking lots will be open for complimentary student and guest parking for graduation attendance as well as normal employee parking.

 
2. CCSF Journalism  Program Awards: Juan Gonzales, three current and one former journalism students win prestigious awards. El Tecolote, one of the San Francisco Neighborhood Newspapers, was honored as the BEST community newspaper for 2014. Juan Gonzales, CCSF's Journalism Program Chair, founded the bi-weekly in 1970. Awards were also recently receive by  CCSF current students and an alum. See attachment CCSF Journalism Program Award.pdf for all the details.

 

3. New Critical Pacific Islands Studies Program: A new certificate program has just been added to the Interdisciplinary Studies offerings. The Critical Pacific Island Students Certificate Program is open to any CCSF student and all required courses are transferable to UC and CSUs as well as meeting CCSF General Education area requirements A, C, D, E, and H1. 4. Still need Carnaval Volunteers!: San Francisco's CARNAVAL celebration takes place on Mission Street this weekend. Music, Dancing, Culture, Food and Fun will make this a FUN event.
