Mr. CityNotes went to a 4-day conference and is just now catching up! 9 great stories to share and more on their way tomorrow. Here's what is being featured today:

1. Mattie Brice to speak TODAY at Mission Campus, 6:00 PM: Game critic, designer and activist, Mattie Brice, will be speaking at the Mission Campus tonight. Having written for publications like Kotaku, Paste Magazine, and PopMatters, Mattie is an engaging and informative speaker. This is open to EVERYONE. 2. Last International Theme Dinner for Semester: Everyone is invited to our final theme dinner of the semester-- a Korean  three course dinner presented by CAHS catering & culinary students in the PCR Thursday evening April 17th from 5:15-7:00 (menu attached: 4-17 Korea.docx). 3. Puente Program Benefits Students: There are numerous benefits to students who join the Puente Program. Would you like to know a few? Just open the attachment, What Puente is.pdf and note, it is a two-page document with loads of information you will want to share with your students, so check it out!

 

4. CCSF Journalism Program among top three in state! Beyond General Excellence, the CCSF Journalism Program and its publications, Etc. Magazine and The Guardsman, has also received awards for design, news story, news series, sport photos, photo series, sport story design, infographic and cartoon. 5. Career Fair this Wednesday: CCSF Career Development Counseling Services will be hosting its Annual Career Information Fair this Wednesday, April 16th. From 9:00 am to 12:00 noon in the Ocean Ave. Campus Cafeteria, students will be able to talk to  representatives about career opportunities and internship from a number of employers. 6. Good News! (the play) this weekend: The Spring play, "Good News!" will be performed this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the Diego Rivera Theater. 8. CCSF IDTV Students win award! The IDTV 2013 team won 1st place for their piece about the accreditation challenges at CCSF, titled "What if?" See the attached notice, with video links: IDTV 2013 team's 1st place win.pdf for all the great details. Congratulations IDTV!

 

9. Three CCSF Students win AGS Scholarships: On Saturday, April 5th, The AGS Honor Society held its award ceremony and three CCSF students received scholarship awards totaling $40,000.
