If you enjoy fashion: The CCSF Fashion Program is holding it annual show on Sunday, May18th, at Ruby Sky in downtown San Francisco. Starting at 6:00 PM, there are tickets for students, the general public, and VIPs. Click on this link to learn more!



2. Graduation and Awards in Labor and Community Studies:

First: Labor and Community Studies and the San Francisco Labor Council have completed the first cycle of their Leadership Training Institute for union members living in Bayview-Hunter Point and Visitacion Valley. Students will receive Certificates of Completion on Wednesday,  April 16th at 5:30 p.m. at the Evans Campus, Room 102. Cycle Two of this Institute will begin in May, with another cycle planned for Fall 2014.
Second: Pat Wynne, the director of our and the Music Department's, "Rockin Solidarity Labor Heritage Chorus",  was recently awarded the "Joe Hill Lifetime Achievement Award for Work in Labor Culture" by the Washington D.C.-based Labor Heritage Foundation. She will be given the award at the annual Great Labor Arts Exchange in Maryland in June.
 Third. Bill Shields was elected to serve as the Western Regional Representative on the National Board of the United Association for Labor Education (UALE) at the group's annual conference last month in Los Angeles. UALE is a United States and Canadian professional association of school, union and community-based workers' rights educators.
