For sports enthusiasts: Tuesday, February 18th, the former Negro League Baseball Player Dennis "Bose" Biddle will be speaking in the library throughout the day and signing his books from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. See the attached flier for more details.

 

For S.F. Historical Perspectives: Tuesday, February 18th,  Aliyah Dunn-Salahuddin presents "The 1966 Bayview Hunters Point Social Uprising" from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the Bayview Branch of the S.F. Public Library. See attached flier for more details

 

For "wild west" history buffs: Wednesday, February 19th,  a lecture and discussion will be lead by Dr. Johnetta Richards on "African American Women Pioneers of the Old West. This takes place at the Bayview Branch of the S.F. Public Library. See the attached flier for more details.

 

For People Who Enjoy Soul Music: Wednesday, February 19th and Wednesday, February 26th, Rickey Vincent presents "Party Music: The Inside Story of the Black Panthers Band and How Black Power Transformed Soul Music." February 19th at CCSF John Adams Auditorium from 10:45 AM to 12:15 PM. February 26th at the Main S.F. Library, from 10:45 AM to 12:15 PM.
