Sections and Seating

The ACRC is composed of multiple sections, each tailored to accommodate specialized software/hardware for different curricula.

  • Open Section
    dedicated to the use of MS Office, internet access and a number of legacy applications for ESL, English, Chemistry and Astronomy.  Macintosh computers are also available with MS Office and internet access.
  • Springfield LINUX Section
    dedicated subnet for the support of System Administration classes; includes centralized authentication for users and network sharing of home directories
  • Windows Section
    dedicated to the support of introductory computer classes, OS manipulation, internet applications, system management, MS office tools, and Windows programming; includes centralized authentication for users and network sharing of home directories
  • Multimedia Section
    dedicated to the support of Multimedia applications which include photo enhancements, desktop publishing, video production, 3D modeling, and interactive web applications; it includes centralized authentication for users and network sharing of home directories
