Work Experience

The Work Experience program provides on-the-job opportunities for students to learn the skills required for successful employment. Students may also earn college credit for current work experience.

Work Experience Credit Courses

City College offers seven Work Experience credit courses. Several courses provide the student with an orientation to the world of work and a solid foundation for career planning. Other classes explore specific practices needed for successful employment such as punctuality, personal appearance, direction taking, job completion and workplace diplomacy. Please see catalog for complete course details

Work Experience Class Schedules

Work Experience class meetings and orientations are held at the Ocean Campus. The work experience itself occurs on the job with cooperating employers. Please see class schedule for current semester schedule.

How to Enroll

It's easy to start the program. Apply to the college, then register for one or more classes. See the steps to becoming a credit student.
