What will I learn in this program?

The Certificate of Completion in Phlebotomy Technician will give students who successfully complete the course theory and skill competencies necessary to meet requirements of AB 1557 for a phlebotomy technician.  Emphasis is on phlebotomy techniques, equipment, medical/legal considerations, safety, infection control, specimen collection, patient preparation, labeling, handling, and preservation or fixation. The course is designed to prepare entry level health care practitioners for certification as a CPT-I.
