Note that permanent positions with an eligible list (list of candidates who passed the Civil Service test) are open for people on the list and inter-department/in-house transfers only. Temporary (provisional) or temporary-exempt positions are open to all candidates.

As a matter of policy and practice, 3591 College/Lab Aide work experience will not count as part of a candidate's qualifying experience in meeting the Minimum Qualifications for clerical positions in the District. Furthermore, foreign degree(s) and/or foreign coursework used as qualifying to meet minimum qualifications must be evaluated by a foreign transcript degree evaluation services organization before an application can be processed.
