SLO Assessment Process

The Matriculation Services outcomes-assessment process is documented and described below. For more details, view the rest of our department website.

The Office of Matriculation and Assessment Services strives to ensure that students achieve their educational objectives by collaboratively providing student-directed components of matriculation such as placement assessment, advising/counseling and prerequisites.

Assessment Process

Assessment results and progress are documented each semester in our Assessment Progress Reports with highlights each year in our Program Review.

Program Outcomes

1.      As a result of completing the new student orientation, students will understand the next steps toward registering for courses that meet their educational goals, programs and services available and their rights and responsibilities as students. 

(ILO 4a. Personal and Career Development: identify and develop helpful resources and opportunities.) 

2.      Students will understand the importance of Math and English or ESL course placement assessment.  

These programs areas are on a regular cycle of review, during which outcomes are updated and revised. For assessment details and timelines see links for progress reports in right side column.
