How do I find out the status of my degree?

 Questions concerning the status of your degree petition should be addressed directly to the Admissions & Records office.

Will I receive my actual diploma at commencement?

No. Your actual diploma will be mailed to you once your petition is processed by Admissions & Records.

Can I participate in Commencement even if I will not complete my classes until summer?

Yes. You must visit the Office of Student Affairs for clarification regarding your particular circumstances.

How many tickets am I entitled to?

All graduates receive 5 tickets with their cap & gown package.

Are extra tickets available?

Yes. Contact the bookstore annex for details or visit them online.

Do I wear a special sash or cord if I am part of a special group or program?

Yes. Many groups have sashes and cords. Consult with the Bookstore annex or your program coordinator.

Is there a rehearsal for the ceremony?

No. Follow the instructions in your commencement package and you will do great!

If I am completing a certificate program, or receiving an award of achievement may I participate?

No. At this time the commencement ceremony is only for students receiving their A.A./A.S degrees. Please contact your program coordinator regarding certificate completion and award recognition ceremonies for your specific program.
